vintage 1960s and 70s A Zildjian 14" New Beat hi-hat cymbal marriage, 60s 870g top over 70s 1284g bottom

A mating of orphan 14s that might as well have been separated at birth, as they sound great together. The top, due to years of patina and some foam residue, is nicely dry with a controlled and smoky wash. The bottom is perfectly crisp.
Cymbals are in good shape, free from cracks or flea bites or other funny business.

Recordings are made with 5A sticks in a treated room with a pair of Coles 4038s (spaced pair), Beta52, and KSM 137 in order to represent the drums and cymbals as naturally as possible.
