1970s A Zildjian 14" New Beat hi-hats, 904g over 1404g vintage cymbals

$225.00

Webster’s dictionary defines New Beat hi-hats as a pair of cymbals with the top cymbal being of a lighter weight. The pairing of a lighter top cymbal with a heavier bottom increases volume and chick and I can’t believe you’re still reading this.

Very clean set of 70s 14 New Beats. Both cymbals have the thin font, no dot 70s stamp and the bottom also has the hollow logo.

Cymbals are in good shape, free from cracks or flea bites or other funny business.

Moving pictures are worth a thousand words so check out the video.

Recordings are made with 5A sticks in a treated room with a pair of Coles 4038s, Beta52, and modded Oktava 012 in a Glyn Johns configuration with no eq or compression in order to represent the drums and cymbals as naturally as possible.
