vintage 60s A Zildjian 18" factory ink stamped CRASH RIDE with 70s hollow logo 1465g cymbal
This plate has some mojo. It’s almost a perfect vintage cymbal (I say almost because I don’t believe in perfection). The right amount of patina. The right amount of stick. The right amount of smokey wash. The right amount of decay.
Regarding the 60s stamp with hollow logo commonly found on 70s cymbals, Zildjian did reportedly not immediately send some cymbals out from the factory. I’ve had a few examples like this, 60s stamp with mid 70s hollow logo.
Cymbal is in good shape, free from cracks or flea bites or other funny business. There are 2 small areas on the edge that appear as dents but are not chipped or cracked.

Recordings are made with 5A sticks in a treated room with a pair of Coles 4038s (spaced pair), Beta52, and KSM 137 in order to represent the drums and cymbals as naturally as possible.
