1 owner mixed decades 1960s and 70s vintage Slingerland drum kit with 5.5x14 steam bent solid shell snare, 13-14-16-22 in Black Diamond Pearl
This kit is by no means a closet classic but it’s got a classic story. Original owner bought the 13-16-22 kit in the mid 60s (drums are raw maple interior). When the 70s came a calling, a Ludwig diamond plate mount was professionally installed and the 3 ply 14” tom added. The tom mounts were changed to Ludwig as well (the 13 from a diamond clip mount. While I was told the snare drum is original to the kit, the wrap is quite a bit more vibrant then the rest of the drums. Good news is, it’s a 5.5x14 steam bent solid shell Super Krupa masterpiece.
Drums are in excellent shape with a few areas of typical Slingerland cracking to the interior ply. They currently have a nifty steel spacer system holding all of the resonant hoops in place. A much better solution than just removing the bottom head and losing the rims and hardware to time.
