vintage 1950s A Zildjian 18" medium crash ride cymbal 1556g
Nice late 50s 18” medium crash suitable for use as a small, washy ride. Cymbal has been drilled for 2 rivets and holes are currently empty. This dude has a hefty crash sound but with a darker tone and lower pitch than more modern cymbals of this size/weight.
Other than 1 teensy weensy flea bite pictured, cymbal is in good shape, free from cracks or flea bites or other funny business.
Moving pictures are worth a thousand words so check out the video.
Recordings are made with 5A sticks in a treated room with a pair of Coles 4038s, Beta52, and modded Oktava 012 in a Glyn Johns configuration with no eq or compression in order to represent the drums and cymbals as naturally as possible.
